CROCHETING

FLOWER SKIRT

You can't stop me anymore, I'm totally into crocheting ;-)

I found a nice ball of yarn, and didn't really know what to crochet. So I started what I thought would become a nice bag to stow my knitting needles.

But my creative mind was up to something else ... and my hands just followed ...

And my daughter just loves the result... And I have to admit, I love it too ;-)

Now we can start crocheting a bag for my crocheting needles, you never know what it will become  ;-)

FLOWER PURSE

What to do with that little bit of yarn that is leftover from the previous crocheted flower skirt?

Let 's make a nice little purse that matches the flower skirt!!!

And of course, we can't forget the flower so it fits into our FLOWER COLLECTION ;-)

CARD WITH CROCHETED FLOWERS

birthday card for my niece's 4th birthday

First crochet the flowers, make as many flowers as you need

Take some sticks
 and wool or something alike
Then fix the flowers and weave the wool,... in between the sticks
As a final touch I made a "4" with some wooden ladybirds

SNOWBALL FRAME

A nice gift for Christmas or New Year ...

1. first cut a circle and a leg out of on old cardboard box and glue them together

2. Then glue the picture on it and start crocheting around the circle, from the bottom to the top, and keep an opening around the picture
3. this is the back

SNOWMAN CARD

You 're looking for a special card or gift for the host when you 're invited for Christmas diner or for a nice party for New Year.

Use 4 cocktail picks for the basis

Then use really soft wool to wind around the foundation

then crochet around the ball to make a snowball

afterwards cut 2 circles out of a cardboard box

crochet around them with the same yarn

put 2 longer sticks through the openings inside the cardboard
and push them into the crocheted ball

at the back, you can pin a personal message

use some felt to make him a real snowman!!!

APPLE-KITTEN BAG

* crochet 2 kittens

Crochet, in normal single crochet stitch, a little circle from around 5 to 6 rows , depending on the thickness of the wool.

Then take another color (and another kind of wool) and crochet two rows around the circle in normal single crochet stitch, but on two sides of the circle you make 2 double crochet stitches (the ears of the kitten). And then another 2 rows (or 3) around the circle in half double crochet stitch.

Make two pieces!!!

* the bag
                    *one side
Then we'll crochet them together. Start 2 or 3 stitches below the ears and make
- a chain of 15 stitches
- make the 16th stitch through the other crocheted kitten (also 2 or 3 stitches below the ears)
- then turn an make another chain of 15 stitches,...
- make around 10 chains

                        *the bottom
- then make another chain of 12 stitches from one side to the other
- and crochet half double crochet stitch for the next row
- crochet as many rows until you are on the opposite site.

                            *the other side
- make again around 10 chains above each other (each chain has 15 stitches)

                            *the ears
- make a chain from one ear to the other ear (around 40 stitches)
-then  2 rows of 12 single crochet stitches, 16 half double crochet stitches and again 12 single crochet stitches
- and finally 1 row all in single crochet stitches

-do the same for the other ear

stitch with a needle the nose and mouth, eyes, ...

This kitten is ready to go to school, ... with a nice apple, orange, ...

P.S.: a nice website with instructions for the basic stitches in crochet is www.crochet.about.com
CROCHETED BRACELETS FOR THE GIRLS

then one normal chain stitch

then 1 half double crochet stitch

then one normal chain stitch

 then 1 double crochet stitch

then one normal chain stitch

then 1 triple crochet stitch
- And then in reverse order back, but without the normal chain stitch
- Continue this till the end of the chain.
